Detention Officer Malinda Owen Retires
After 19 years of service to Forsyth County, Detention Officer Malinda Owen has retired from the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office.
Malinda began her career in Law Enforcement in 1994 as a Processing Assistant at the LEDC. She quickly earned promotions and has worked in many areas including Laundry Clerk and Detention Officer. In 2006, she achieved Private First Class/Senior Floor Officer.
Malinda received the Life Saving Award during her tenure, which is given to a person who distinguishes himself by performing extraordinary physical acts or renders life saving techniques to aid in the preservation of a human life. Malinda’s knowledge and guidance will be missed and we wish her the best in all future endeavors. Congratulations Malinda Owen!
