COVID-19 vaccinations offered at community events and health department with cash cards
The Forsyth County Department of Public Health will offer COVID vaccinations this week at Fiesta’s Concert Under the Stars, Festival for the Homeless, Cooks Flea Market, and at the health department. One hundred dollars worth of cash cards are currently available to anyone 18 and older who receives their first dose of any COVID-19 vaccine, and $25 cash cards are available to non-commercial drivers who take someone to receive their first dose. Qualifying individuals are eligible for one offer per visit. The cards are for first doses only, and each patient’s COVID vaccination history will be checked before the shot is administered or the cash card is given. Cards will be available through Sept. 13 or while supplies last. Public Health staff will be accepting walk-ups at these community vaccination events:
- Friday, Sept. 10, 4 p.m.-9 p.m., Fiesta’s Concert Under the Stars at Winston-Salem Fairgrounds, 2886 Shorefair Dr. NW
- Saturday, Sept. 11, 2 p.m.-6 p.m., Festival for the Homeless at Gateway Commons Park, 1580 Oak St., Winston Salem
- Sunday, Sept. 12, 10 a.m.-4 p.m., Cooks Flea Market (Aisle M), 4250 Patterson Ave

- Walk-ups are accepted Mon-Tues. 8 a.m.-6 p.m. Wednesday 8 a.m.-5 p.m., Thurs. 8 a.m.-8 p.m., and Fri. 8 a.m.-5 p.m. and this Sat. 9 a.m.-12 noon
