Synopsis and Discussion

Warm temperatures and light winds, Thursday, have led to a more stagnant air mass and MODERATE ozone and particle pollution. While temperatures will continue warm and winds light, there will be a significant increase in showers and thunderstorms, Friday and Saturday, especially during the afternoon and evening hours. Thus, a return to GOOD, code GREEN, air quality is expected both days. Little to no change in the weather pattern will occur, Sunday resulting in the continuation of code GREEN ozone and particle pollution (GENTRY).

Air Monitoring Data

The Forsyth County Office of Environmental Assistance and Protection is making data available from the county's air monitoring network as a public service. These data represent the hourly data set from all of the sites within this network. Data from Triad sites outside of Forsyth County are collected by the North Carolina Division of Air Quality.
