Synopsis and Discussion

Ozone readings are hovering in the mid Code Green range on Saturday while particle pollution readings are Moderate. Following weekend storm chances, a backdoor frontal boundary will try to clear the Triad briefly on Monday before pushing back northward for Tuesday. Convergence along the boundary on Monday will allow ozone concentrations to rebound to the mid Code Yellow range. Strong high pressure will build in toward midweek when mid to perhaps upper Code Yellow ozone levels are anticipated. Particle pollution will likely remain Code Yellow for the balance of the forecast period. (Greg Perrotte / perrotgt@forsyth.cc)
